1. Alkebulan YouthMeet is a global youth initiative hosted by TKN Africa Youth Link, Ada Tourism Stakeholders Association and The Alkebulan Heritage Centre in Big Ada, Ghana. The program offers participants opportunities for cultural exchange, volunteering, and personal development within a community-focused environment.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be between 18 and 35 years old. Minors (under 18) may be considered with parental or guardian consent. All applicants must provide accurate personal information and complete required documentation, including health disclosures.
3. Application and Selection
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The Alkebulan Heritage Centre reserves the right to accept or reject applicants based on program suitability, capacity, and alignment with program goals.
4. Program Fees and Payments
A non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance to secure participation.
Full payment must be completed by the specified deadline prior to program commencement.
Participants are responsible for their own travel, insurance, and personal expenses unless otherwise stated. We will aid in securing visas for participants who require visas.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the program start date may receive a partial refund, excluding the deposit.
Cancellations made less than 60 days before the program start date are non-refundable.
In the event of program cancellation by The Alkebulan Heritage Centre, participants will receive a full refund.
6. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to:
Respect local customs, traditions, and laws.
Engage positively with community members and fellow participants.
Abstain from illegal activities, including drug use and unauthorized alcohol consumption.
Adhere to program schedules and participate actively in assigned activities.
7. Health and Safety
Participants must disclose any medical conditions and provide emergency contact information. The Alkebulan Heritage Centre and TKN Africa Youth Link are not liable for any health-related incidents; participants are advised to obtain comprehensive travel and health insurance.
8. Liability Waiver
By participating in Alkebulan YouthMeet, individuals acknowledge the inherent risks associated with travel and volunteer activities and agree to release The Alkebulan Heritage Centre and TKN Africa Youth Link from liability for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during the program.
9. Media Release
Participants consent to the use of photographs, videos, and other media taken during the program for promotional and educational purposes by The Alkebulan Heritage Centre, unless a written objection is submitted prior to the program start date.
10. Termination of Participation
The Alkebulan Heritage Centre reserves the right to terminate a participant's involvement in the program for violations of these terms and conditions or conduct deemed detrimental to the program's objectives or community well-being.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ghana.
